“DREAMS, ASTROLOGY, MYTH AND MEMORIES” INTERACTIVE LECTURE SERIES WITH AUTHOR MAGGY ANTHONY TO BE HELD SEPT. 13-OCT. 4 IN RENO

RENO, Nev., Aug. 31, 2017 – A four-part lecture series, “Dreams, Astrology, Myth and Memories” by well-known Reno author and workshop facilitator Maggy Anthony, will explore the meaningful impacts that dreams, astrology, myths and memories can have on one’s personal, professional and creative life. The interactive series will be held Wednesdays, Sept. 13-Oct. 4, from 7-9 p.m. at Perk Up Coffee House in Reno. Sessions include:

Sept. 13 ~ Dreams: Gateway to the Soul
Sept. 20 ~ Astrology and the Tarot: New Age Humbug or Ancient Wisdom?
Sept. 27 ~ Finding the Myth of Your Life
Oct. 4 ~ Ancestral Memories, Genealogical Keys

Maggy Anthony, retired family therapist, speaks on subjects she has researched and taught for the past 40 years. She is the author of the forthcoming Salome’s Embrace: The Jungian Women, published by Routledge and due out in late 2017. Her other books include Jung’s Circle of Women: The Valkyries, a chronicle of the women she encountered during her studies at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich. She is also widely published as a novelist, poet and playwright, whose one-woman play, “Impossibly Blonde: Marilyn at 80,” has been performed at the Nevada Museum of Art and in San Francisco. Anthony has taught extensively on mythology and issues of creative exploration, at Esalen Institute and the University of California, San Francisco, and in Reno at the YWCA’s Center for Living Well. She was a family therapist for many years at St. Mary’s Medical Center/Maclean Center for Addictions and Behavioral Health in Reno, before retiring to write and travel.

Cost is $7.50 per session; or $20 for the four-session series. Coffee, tea and treats will be available for purchase. Perk Up Coffee House is located at 310 S. Arlington Ave., in downtown Reno.
